Magaly Vallejo

My name is Magaly Vallejo.  I’m originally from Bolivia, and I immigrated to the United States in the late 1970’s.  I have a wonderful family: my husband of over 40 years, plus 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Most of them live in San Diego, where I’ve lived for a few decades myself.

I received my Associates Degree in Child Development from the San Diego Community College district and continued my education in various certifications for both toddlers and infants at the University of California. As different childcare techniques and approaches to interacting with toddlers develop, I do my best to learn about the latest information and incorporate it into my own style.

Using all that experience, I taught as a pre-K teacher for the Head Start program by the Neighborhood House Association for nearly 30 years.  It was a terrific opportunity to meet a huge diversity of families and learn how to connect with children from all backgrounds.  Working with children has always come naturally to me and it continues to fill me with great joy.  It is a passion for me, not simply a career choice.

It was a lifelong dream of mine to open my own business that had children as its focus and I’ve had the privilege of heading my own daycare for over 8 years. I’ve had many little ones get their head start in socializing with other toddlers here in a safe and welcoming environment. I've completed all the standards that the Department of Licensing of Virginia requires. I look forward to continuing to work with children and their families for many years to come.

Fabbiola Rivadineira

My name is Fabiola Rivadineira. I am originally from Bolivia but emigrated to Spain where I became a citizen. During my 12 years there I worked almost exclusively in childcare, gaining over a decade of experience. I moved to the US about 8 years ago, and have worked at Maggie's Home Day Care for 6 of those years, working with kids of different ages. In Maggie's absence I lead the rest of the team here at the location. I love the kind of work I do and am currently in classes working towards my Child Development Associate Credential (CDA).
